I didn't sleep last night. Or, rather, I must have slept, but, when I did, I dreamed of being awake. And, among my many wild thoughts, my lost children were conspicuous only by their absence.

I dreamt about mobsters kidnapping someone else's baby and turning it into a sandwich. Disgusting, I know, but true.
