priorities

As I recently remarked to S. at rhymes with javelin, I'm finding that work really does tend to interfere with my blogging time. And not only that, but, since my job is so much more interesting than the rest of my so-called life, work provides me with an endless stream of stories that I can't possibly blog about. How unfair is that?

I hear you Niobe. I cannot blog about all the stories I know of from my work for a number of reasons. Confidentiality being one of them and secondly, no one would believe that real people could do some of the stuff they do!

From a reader's perspective, pretty cosmically unfair. You have such a talent for telling stories that it's a shame that so many have to go untold.

I can't/won't blog about work because I'm too private. But work is interesting (mostly) and would make for good stories. So, I understand your dilemma all too well!

Damn, now I want to know all your work stories. Unfair!

Wow. I wish I worked with you. My worklife doesn't often inspire storytelling. Maybe bedtime stories for insomniacs.

Well, I think you could blog about work...this isn't your real name, so how could anyone match up the stories? Just misspell a few things to fool googlers and go for it.

I'd love to hear stories from you.

Well, that is unfair. And leaves us all curious.

Your title priorities hit home with me though. Every now and then I find myself annoyed because my kids are interfering with my computer time. Luckily I always catch myself and think "hmmmm.... me thinks my priorities are out of whack!" Blogland is far too fascinating for its own good!

I blog about school, but I would love to blog about my husband's job. I think it drives me more insane that it does him. Some days, it's everything I can do not to go to his work and smack his boss upside the head.

I also try not to blog about work except insofar as I can without saying anything about my staff or customers--it certainly pares down my material!

I'd love to hear you dish about work sometime--too bad.

Thanks for the link!

I have the same issue. I think I need a job that requires less confidentiality. And co-workers. Working from home leaves much to be desired some days.
