pwn3d

Well, it had to happen sooner or later. In fact, I'm surprised it took this long. L found my blog.

"But Niobe," he said "on your blog you sound so...so...so...nice."

Wait.

L is your husband, right?

Wow. He didn't know about your blog?

Just wow.

At least he's not upset!

My Reality said...

How did he find it?

My husband knows of mine and reads it on occasion. Unfortunately, the posts I think would be good for him to read he doesn't!

hmmm... how did he find it? I told me husband about a month into writing it, all worried, etc. He was just slightly more interested than compeletely uninterested. I think. Unless he is checking it at the office and not letting me know. Except I would know, from my sitemeter. It's my family that hasn't found it yet, but now that my brother and SIL know I write one I figure it is just a matter of time before they go looking for it, or tell someone else.

So how'd he find it?

And, are you not nice to him?

And what does PWN3D mean, anyway?

Ok, that made me laugh. Am I mean?

My huz knows about my blog and reads if I make him... he designed the layout, but he really has no interest in what i write. He says I tell him everything anyways.

I'm stumped on the post's title, myself.

Hi, L.

Pwn3d or pwned (pronounced poned) is message board/gamer speak for "owned," meaning that the game's over and I'm not exactly the winner.

He must have used my laptop after I'd forgotten to clear the history. Once he read a few entries, it was obvious that I'd written it. I knew he'd discover it eventually (and I'm sure the rest of my family will as well) so, somewhat uncharacteristically, I've tried not to be too nasty. Hence, L's comment.

Laughing!

Me too.... very funny

(giggle).

I hope this doesn't mean you'll stop writing.

I'm afraid this made me laugh too!

So... how do you feel about this somewhat major chink in your anonymity armor? Just curious.

Well I guess we have a little more insight into your statements in the "Misdirection" post.

My husband reads mine all the time, but I actually want him to, was hoping he'd use it himself.

What'll this mean for your posting?

You are nice but as with anyone close, the line can be thin between love and not-so-nice at times. At least that is what I have found to be true. I think your hubby is lucky.

My husband has now clue about my blog and I make sure that I do not access it at home. I really don't want him to find it. Not sure why I don't want him to see it. It is just my blog for me and I would feel like I could not write in it if here were to read it.

First...bwhahahahaha!

And second....my husband knows that I write a blog and could find it if he searched, but he's just not that interested.

I often worry about who will find my blog (I don't have a husband to hide it from though)! My brother links to it and my mother, so far, is not smart enough to find it. Ha ha. Which is good because I think she would consider it an embarassment - me talking on the Internet about how I'm sober and she's not. Anyway, my dad's family hasn't found it either apparently because they also don't know I'm sober. Again, my dad would think it was an embarassment. One day they will find it though. Mostly I think when they do, they will be devastated to realize that I am not as happy or as functional as they would both like to beleive.

You ARE nice. And I bet you are just so IRL, too.

At least he found your blog, and not someone else's that he thought was yours. This happened in my house recently and it was pretty funny.

My MR. says he doesn't read my blog, but I am certain he is lying. He seems to know things that are only posted there and since I have been writing more he seems to actually understand how I am feeling...in other words we fight less. So, blogging is a great form of communication with your spouse.

Really, how un-nice can you be, you are absolutely wicked smart so you must live your life frusterated by the mass stupidity that is surrounding you.

My husband knows all about mine and I get him to read your comments from time to time. It really helps, when we're trying to figure things out--you know another perspective.

And I'm sure L is just being silly, there's no way that you aren't just as nice in real life.

hee hee. pwn3d.

yeh, sometimes i wish i could say all i'd like to. but i've found the blog makes for occasional interesting conversation around the house...

I worry about some people finding my blog, but not my husband. He knows it exists and is totally uninterested. Or claims to be. I know if he had a blog I would be all over it. I hope the possibility of his reading it doesn't make you clam up! Or if it makes you clam up with us, maybe then talk more with him, or whatever sounds best to you.

I told JD I was writing one a little after I started, and he found it on his own. I don't think he reads every day, but he comes by a couple of times a week, I think.

Furrow said...

So if L is now reading it, will you get all dominatrix on us? Because I'd like to see that.

ms. G said...

Okay, I had to laugh because that sounds like something Mr. G would say. Mr. G doesn't know about my blog, but honestly, I doubt he would be interested.

What I now want to know is, how nasty are you Niobe? Is it a in general nasty/angry or specifically towards family and that is why you hold back, for fear they will find this blog?

Monica said...

Niobe, your talents never cease to amaze me.. you speak gamer too?

I'd die if DH read mine. He knows I have one and being a computer geek and the fact that he rebuilt my laptop, I'm sure he'd be able to find it. I hope he doesn't because I don't like the idea of him reading it. I don't think he'd say that I was too nice. He'd say I'm so.. dramatic.

So are you going to create a new blog? I'd hate for you to change your writing one bit for fear of L. reading it. Like my middle schoolers write in my yearbook, "don't change 4 nobody"

thirtysomething said...

Oh! so, how is that going over...?
And what is a site meter? Where can I locate mine?

niobe said...

Ms. G: In real life I'm just a tiny bit more caustic. Think sulphuric acid.

niobe said...

thirtysomething: you can sign up for a site meter here.

And if you click on the B at the top left corner of your blog and go to "account" you can sign up for Analytics, a service that tracks traffic, searches that brought visitors to your blog, etc.
