niobe at thirteen
Dear Diary,
This is (or was) the last day of school before our vacation. In English we had a little party. Ms Friedman (I wonder how her family got it's name) gave out little cany candy hearts and jelly beans. She was a little mad at Becky and me because in homeroom we had messed up the attendance sheet when we made up some fake names and marked everyone except ourselves either tardy or absent. It is Friday the 13th though, so she has to expect some bad luck.

OH MY GOD. You are EXACTLY the same. Only with a larger vocabulary. Heh.
Hilarious - and if the silly woman expected NOT ton have some bad luck on Friday the 13th...
Ooh, I LOVE that picture! AND I'm so impressed at your grammar, with the proper use of me in a time when we all got hammered to use "I". Hilarious!
I love the photo too. And this is pretty funny!
What a brave soul you are; posting both a picture AND an excerpt from your diary.
Loved the read.
That is a riot.
Ms. Friedman had no idea what a prodigy she had on hand. That trick with the attendance sheet is genius.
OMG 13 was so fun...and funny!
wow, so you were a smart ass then too!!
(from one to another)
So snarky and lovely!
Is it the picture or do I see traces of whiteout there?
Julia: It must just be words that are out of focus, 'cause you can see elsewhere in the picture that I just crossed out mistakes.
Are the pages in your picture from exactly a year before the entry you typed?
If so, I now know exactly how old you are now. (I just finished watching a Miss Marple movie).
LOL, I got a good laugh from that entry. I miss those fun, carefree times!
the picture with the handwriting sample is the perfect accent
Just a younger version of yourself today :)
I love this. You have such creativity. Who would think to post a picture of their old diary? How cool is that?
And your teacher -- she was naive to think that a friday 13th would pass by uncelebrated.
I love this! I was looking for my old journals but I don't think I have anything left from before college unfortunately. I wish I did - it would be fun to read.
What a cool thing to have. I never managed any consistent journal keeping as a child. I was always thinking I'd wait until something happened worth writing about.
heeheeheeheehee!
Love it!
That picture is great!
This post inspired me to look back in my journals, although not quite so far. :) I actually posted an entry from a year ago...

p.s. I don't know yet how to make a link in the comments. So I just posted the address. One of these days..

i have an old hih school diary around. maybe i'll post an old entry. . .
HA! I love this. I would be so afraid to open the box with my diaries in it. I was such a drama queen.
