I am pleased to report that I am MUCH better at carving computer pumpkins than actual pumpkins. Although the chances that I could have been worse were pretty slim...

And now let me pull my haad out of my sloppy, wet, cyber pumpkin (they are kinda messy, afterall) and apologize for missing the last few posts. I see that you've had tons of great support, but I still feel bad about missing them. My heart is bursting with hope for a successful January transfer, and I hope you can pull together a pleasant Thanksgiving, whether or not in the company of your mother and sibs. Oh, and although I'm sure you've received far more compelling invitations than mine, you're more than welcome down here, too. The menu will feature a free-range, hormone-free, locally raised farm turkey from my CSA, whom I presume will be leading a fairly happy life up until the very, very end. unless turkeys have intuitiion.

Thank you for the pumpkin. We don't really do Halloween over here (although various shops would rather like it if we did - there are more merchandising opportunities than those served by our burning effigies on bonfires day that is coming up soon) so I haven't done any real pumpkin carving.

My daughter is sucked in...plus no mess.
I only carved vurtual pumpkins this year, and I kind of missed sticking my hands into the gooey, cold center. Oh well, there is next year.
