imperfect circle

By the almanac, the moon won't be full until tomorrow night. But, even knowing that, I find I can't detect the flattening at the rim, the missing sliver that makes the circle something less than whole.

Looks like perfection in imperfection.

Is that your house? Looks like it's from a movie promo.

Lori: Yes, that's my house. A promo for a horror flick, perhaps?

i could tell it wasn't full simply by how early it rose today. but it sure was gorgeous.

Not a horror promo, Niobe. It is such a cool picture.

I think I have to go stick my head outside and see what the moon looks like. It was very full last night, I do recall.

I can see where the missing sliver will be. But I took several astronomy courses in university and studied moon phases quite extensively.

Beautiful photos, once again!

it shone so brightly here last night. I drove home in the not dark and turned my head lights off for a moment. It seemed like dusk or dawn, but was midnight.

Mmmm. Lovely. The moon was shy in my neck of the woods. It was cloaked in fog and low clouds. My daughter said, "It's a furry moon, tonight."

The photos are cool, as always.

You know, I couldn't even tell that it was a house at first. Because it's just all blackness, you kinda have to look at the lighted windows to figure out the shape of it. I actually thought it was a shed (the front bit) and then the lighted windows belonged to something else in the distance.

I think the moon is perfectly full the day before and the day after - at least it looks that way to me. And it looks like you live in an older home just by the molding up around the soffits.

Great pictures, Niobe.
It doesn't look scary to me -- maybe I haven't seen enough horror movies?
