thirtysomething: The red is actually the reflection of a soda vending machine, selling (I think) coke. The drain is the drain of the water fountain (does anyone except people from my home state use the word "bubbler?") that I talked about taking photos of a few posts back.
Gorgeous shots as always. I think you should make a coffee table book of all these cool closeups that you take. I'm sure I would not be the only one, who would want one.
The first one looks a bit troublesome to me, but that's just me. I grew up in a place where the second one would have had "chaw" all over it. No wonder I don't know what they look like close up. Both lovely.
Christine: My cousin lives in Pittsburgh, but I think that's the closest to it I've ever gotten. I've never sold any photos, but if you know anyone who wants to buy one, let me know.
Oneliner: The red and white stripes are the reflection of a soda vending machine, NOT of my outfit.
that first picturelooks so much like "my spot" at the camp I used to work at... a tree that had fallen into the lake that I would retreat to a with a book or a journal or just my thoughts. I would sit and listen to the water gently lap the shore, and all would be restored.

Lovely...
I have to agree, those are just lovely. Serene and peaceful, but I think that the last one is somewhat sad...
Nice.
[and, unrelatedly, Josh posted a link to how you can get your very own subtitled copy of Cheburashka and Friends]
That top one is just beautiful!
Hmm. Top one is very inviting. sink one - were you wearing red? Or is there red dishes/pans off to the side? Interesting.

I know the first one is the one everyone is loving, but I am fascinated and quite taken by the second one.
You come up with such interesting juxtapositions.
In my home state, it's a "BUBBLAH"
Great photos.
I love the first one - I love the color. I've never heard of anyone calling it a bubbler!
Oh, it's a water fountain. I was going to comment about how clean your sink is!

I was thinking the "sink" looked really clean, but then I looked at the grunge along the edge of the drain.
You do take good pictures.
mmh. Love water. Never heard of bubbler, though. But I think I did figure out psds eventually.

I like them both! Bubbler, huh?
Absolutely stunning.

I heart your photos.
pretty.
were you dressed as a candy cane?
ok--psds and bubbler--are you from Pittsburgh?
love these photos. do you sell them?

really nice...
What is it about water that is so soothing?
you seem offended we might think you are a candy striper in your real life. No red and white outfits for you?
Which: I think it was the "dressed as a candy cane" rumor that I wanted to dispel.
