a painted scene upon a painted wall*

Fly-catchers of the moon,
Our hands are blenched, our fingers seem
But slender needles of bone;
Blenched by that malicious dream
They are spread wide that each
May rend what comes in reach.

Very evocative poem...holding up your hand to light.

Just wanted, also, to drop by and say I hope 2008 is the year that brings you special joy.

I like the animation and the poem. I always know I'll learn something, when I stop by here, Niobe.

Love the animation.

I hope your fingers can reach your dreams really soon.

The animation is really ubercool. I must send it on to a friend whose kindergartner brought home the homework to diagram "how the moon changes through the month." And then proceeded to tell her mother that yes, the moon is definitely changing, since that's what the teacher said. Gotta love the misconceptions implanted in the young brains by the institution entrusted with their very education.

this just reminded me of something. when i was about 38 weeks pregnant, i painted the kids' room with a moon and stars on the ceiling. i painted the stars in all of our astrological signs.

i totally forgot paige's sign is up there on the ceiling.
