snowdrifts

We had our first real snowstorm and I wanted to take pictures of the snow melting on the windows of my car, the muddied snow at the edge of the road, the snow wedged into the crevices of the trees' bark. But I wasn't happy with the way any of those photos turned out, so what I was left with were the two above, where the snow is, at most, a suggestion of a shimmer in the backdrop, or vague and scattered gleams of white.

I love the snow twinkling on the tree. I think snow is beautiful...but I still don't like the cold!!!

I cannot even describe how happy it makes me to see pictures from and hear snow stories from around the country and the world.

I hope you get home early today and can settle in for a nice weekend that is part refreshingly cold and part toasty warm.

Those are excellent shots, even if the snow is subtle - it's beautiful!

I am, once again, awed by your photo taking abilities.

We're snowed in at the moment. I wonder if we were both somehow hit by the same storm?

Well, I don't like snow, but it is pretty. I wish we could see it! We don't have much here - but I think we are supposed to get a bunch tonight and tomorrow. Cool pictures!
