wishing on a star

This morning, I went to the post office and picked up a package from two of my favorite bloggers in the whole world. It was full of pink stickers, plastic bags festooned with bats, a cool photo collage and a whole bunch of yummy-looking baked goods. I say yummy-looking because the (correctly addressed) box had been mailed way back in January and had evidently taken a number of detours en route to my town. The package had decidedly not been handled with care, and, inside the bat-bags, the cookes and brownies had crumbled. One bag was filled with pieces of some very pretty star-shaped cookies, labelled Wishing Cookies. There was also a recipe and an explanation of exactly how wishing cookies work.
The senders added a footnote: If your wishing cookies arrive in pieces due to rough handling by the postal service, consider your wish granted. Especially if you wished for a bag of cookie crumbs.

I love that! I, too received a gift in the mail from one of my favorite bloggers, recently. How fun!

So, since your wishes will CLEARLY be coming true, it'll be safe for you to tell us what they were/are. :)

How bloody considerate of the post office to pre-break your cookies for you.
I heard, though, that cookie crumbs have no calories. None whatsoever.

I hope you wish for more than just cookie crumbs.

Such a great idea. I hope you made your wish before you opened the crumbs!

Since it had been a few months, I'm pretty sure the cookies and brownies were stale. But they looked and smelled absolutely wonderful.

Utterly charming. And I may have to try those cookies - they sound delicious.

The foot note had me laughing. I guess they knew upfront that you would only get crumbs.
