loose ends

As you probably guessed from my lack of posting and comments, I'm having a lot of trouble making my way onto the internets. Yesterday, I sat on a wooden cart on the side of an alley and almost was able to get a signal. But an employee of the restaurant next door made clear that he needed to use the cart for chopping the tops off turnip-like vegetables and I gave up my spot and lost the tenuous connection.

As soon as I get a few pictures uploaded, I'll post them. Rome is crowded, beautiful, wonderful. But I'm feeling awfully pessimistic about this cycle. It's probably still too early to test, but for whatever reason I can't conjure up much hope about the ultimate result.

Sigh. Anyway, stay tuned for photos. Though none, I'm pretty sure, of food.

Gelato can be vertical (on a cone) or horizontal (in a dish). I suggest you check it out. May the beauty preoccupy your mind. The Pantheon always did it for me. (And there's great gelato right near there . . . )

and do you think that being away from kyrie and everything going on is good for you? distracting?

The pictures rock.

Not for nothing, but I was completely, positively sure that I was sooo not pregnant when I POSed in December. May you be equally wrong.

I'm loving seeing your pictures, not only because I enjoy your eye- but also because my Mom is in Rome right now as well! You are giving me a glimpse of what she might be seeing as well.

Funny to think you could pass my Mom on the straight and have no idea...

I will hold hope for you.

Your pictures are wonderful. Maybe the beautiful and crowded city can distract you from the pessimism? I'm hoping for you.
