couture

And, no, the airline still hasn't found my stuff -- I just downloaded a few of my pictures before I left Paris.

and (whispering) the second beta was fine and the first ultrasound is next week and I'm doing a surprisingly good job of not thinking about all the different ways this could go wrong

I'll whisper really quietly, just in case, but I am thrilled to pieces with your news. And I can't wait to her what other good news you have to share...you more than deserve your happy ending.

And what is up with your stuff getting lost?! That is so not cool. But if that's the trade off for a happy ending, then I secretly hope that they don't find it...

Is it weird that I still think of things in a bargaining type of way? It is, isn't it?

I'm sorry your things are still unaccounted for...

(congrats on the great news)

SCREAMING in my loud, happy, surprised voice. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!!!

Ah... so that's where my zen ran off to. I am glad it's found a good home, and you can totally keep it. It served me very well for a while, and I am hopeful it will serve you equally well, and maybe will stick around for longer.

About the picture: my sister is getting married this summer, and so at some point we were looking at some bridal magazines. The models in them and the mannequin in your picture have something in common-- they all look mighty pissed off. I wonder what it is...

I'm whispering a muted YES, but I'm also spinning around like a crazy, grinning fool in my chair.

Keeping my eyes averted and my head down, but taking in your news and keeping the hope alive for you.

It took near six months for me to get my luggage back once. I wish you better luck that I have had...in all things.

For one second, I thought you posted a picture of me: all haughty and angular and bald and stuff.

GOOD for you for not dwelling on the negative possibilities.

Glad you aren't dwelling on the negatives. I am crossing everything here, hoping you only hear positive things.

And the luggage part sucks. I hope you didn't lose too many of your favorite things...

I think that nun in Rome has run off with your luggage. Keep doing a good job on the rest.

the airline never found my bags. they told me that they have a warehouse in dallas for missing bags? I assume it's like the island for unfit toys. (uh. my bags missing? go look there. please?)
But months later I got a cheque in the post to reimburse me for the contents. Which I cashed and bought my Canon. Hmmm.. I'm thinking I might pack a bag to lose on purpose next time...
