two thirty

The plan: reorganize and file stacks of papers arrayed in a semi-circle around my desk chair. (I'm not quite sure why this is, but, while my house is generally fairly neat, my office is always a disaster).

The reality: beg dentist to try to fit me in to replace the filling I somehow managed to knock out last night.

What's on your schedule for today?

Hug my oldest son over and over and over again.

Unfortunately I may have to also go shopping for some storage containers to once again clean up another basement flood.

First, make a quick trip up to my classroom to submit the work orders for my student computers.

Then, come home to finish the things on the To Do list that I posted yesterday.

Plan a birthday party for this weekend, dentist, call with my agent during which she will inevitably suggest MORE revisions, appliance repairman, and grocery shopping.

Glad I got that Ph.D...

Get more submissions out the door, write the novel, get printer paper (before the submissions), clean, run, get photos, talk to friend, nap.

I'm so glad I get these days off.

Appointment with Dr. C. Nanny job in the afternoon. Dinner with D, perhaps? And to schedule the damn haircut I've been putting off for weeks cause I hate having my hair cut!!! (But at this point it's so long it's getting a bit ridiculous...)

Tweak my book proposal. Will it happen? NO ONE KNOWS.

1) Schedule 3 doctor appointments for 2 kids

2) Bug several authors to give me back comments for their page proofs

3)Find nice ways of telling authors they cannot have 50 percent of the changes they requested in their page proofs.

4) Go grocery shopping WHEN NOT HUNGRY this time, so shopping cart doesn't magically fill with marshmallows and chocolate rather than produce.

5) Set up giraffe wickets for after-preschool game of croquet with Big A.

finish reading exams and turn a few questions into the format the school needed them in two weeks ago. Send off to a prof. Start reading the physiology textbook I should've started on three weeks ago. Fun.

Hope your tooth is repaired soon and without much pain and aggravation (hey, a girl can dream, right?).

I only had one real goal today - clean that damn toilet. And I did it!!!

I never thought I would be so excited to be down on my hands and knees scrubbing the crapper... but since at least I can't nurse the baby while I'm doing it, it feels like a break. And maybe now no one will get e-coli.

1) regain sense of equilibrium

5. Sleep

7. Rinse and repeat

That pretty much sums up the last two weeks of my life. :P So sad.
