xx or xy?

Because that's the way it usually works, I'm guessing that everyone in the whole entire world except me has already seen this site* which, based on your recent browser history, gives a percentage estimate of whether you're male or female.

Although my results (below) don't exactly inspire confidence, I'd be very curious to see what your numbers look like.

*The site claims it doesn't store your browser history or use it for some nefarious purpose, but, as always, caveat clicker.

I had never seen this before -- you can rest assured that if you find something, it will be new to me. I am tragically unhip and behind the times...

My results:
Likelihood of you being FEMALE is 89%
Likelihood of you being MALE is 11%

Which doesn't surprise me at all. But I still thought this was interesting!

Likelihood of you being FEMALE is 66%
Likelihood of you being MALE is 34%

I can live with those results...

I'm a girl, but not a girly girl.

Or something like that.

So when exactly did Slate become masculine?

niobe said...

antigone: It looks like most political, news, and economics-type sites are viewed by significantly more men than women. (though I have no idea how they determine this) Which I'm assuming is why my numbers came out the way they did.

I was 52% boy. At least, at work. I'd be interested to see if I'm a girl when I'm at home.

The boy thing seemed to be entirely a result of reading the newspaper. Really? Girls don't read newspapers? How do they know I don't spend all my time there reading the style pages?

Can we all have a hearty laugh at my 95% female prediction?

What I find interesting is that of all the sites it counted, the only one with a perfect 1 ratio was youtube. The great equalizer. Go figure.

Without a doubt- 100% female!

Which is kind of sad because this comp is shared by both my husband and me. Most of the browsing history was his :-)

hmmmm...interesting...
Likelihood of you being FEMALE is 87%
Likelihood of you being MALE is 13%
Now I'm going to go try it from my husband's log-in!

98% female. Interesting that myspace and facebook tip female, but blogger goes male.

i must confess, my gushy little female heart interpreted your title differently.

Furrow: Uh, stay tuned. That post will be next Friday.

Well, then. It is a 92% certainty that I am a man. Sorry ovaries.

IT'S THE SHOPPING!

Online shopping is apparently ONLY done by women. Especially if it's shopping for apparel.

ha! from the title I thought you were taking a poll for kyrie's amnio.

I came out 50-50.

Explains why I never learned how to be a real girl?

I am 89% male

I'm disgusted. I am not a girly-girl.

I thought we were about to get exciting news. I see that's on the agenda for next Friday. For what it's worth, I've been getting girl vibes.

female 69
male 31

not sure how they calculated the kids' stuff, but I think it in the female column. Am mother of child who goes to pokemon site. How girly of me.

This is me:

Likelihood of you being FEMALE is 73%
Likelihood of you being MALE is 27%
Now I have to get my husband to do it, too.

I am 100% female.

Hee. I am a girly girl.

it totally locked up my browser, but considering that the last google search I did was "back to school cake" i can only assume it will think female. although my husband was on early, on all his gaming sites, so maybe that would make us male. shared computer... makes it harder to tell... ;) maybe that's why it locked up

Female 53%/Male 47%

Which is VERY surprising to me, considering right now my browser history should be full of searches for lighting and faucets. Don't women do that sort of thing? Too much sports-related reading in the interim, I guess.

I was 100% female. Or "Lady." That's right: I only browse for tea sandwich recipes and feminine hygeine products.

Wow. I had no idea I was so butch.
