spring forward

First weekend that actually felt like spring. First iced latte of the season. First afternoon barefoot on the back porch. First cookout. First night with the windows open.

And first morning at work with the air conditioning blasting and me sitting at my desk, wrapped in a coat and scarf, looking at the beautiful day on the other side of the window.

Baby toes and feet are on my favorite things list.

It's felt like spring since February here.

Kym: Sigh. Yes, I do realize that I live in a climate-challenged city.

That was me at work on Friday... well, minus the coat and scarf (they don't turn on the air conditioning til after Memorial Day). Then we had rain all weekend. Til the sun decided to make a brief appearence on Sunday afternoon. Now back to more rain. The tulips seem to like it.

Cole looks very comfy. And those toes... yum!

Spring?! Felt like effin' summer here. I have half a mind to close the windows up and turn on the AC.

windows that don't open are all kinds of wrong.

Such cute feet...
I had my first iced latte this year in April in Germany, though I live in Barcelona. The weather is funny sometimes.

Couldn't agree more. Although it was in the 80's last week, I feel like spring is finally here. Perhaps that's also my state of mind.

We had our first tornado warning last week which always says Spring is here to me. Of course living so close to the Gulf of Mexico the weather is usually very warm, but nothing says Spring like torrential rain and a tornado or two.
Love those baby toes and those little high arches that babies seem to have. I never understood the need to put shoes on babies that were not walking.

We went straight past spring to feeling like summer. It is TOO early for 90+ degree days.

We seem to have gone right from winter to summer, overnight....is this the proof of climate change that everyone keeps trying to find?

In New Orleans we've already jumped straight into summer (sigh), but I do love those little bare baby toes!

Sigh....just look at those delicious baby feet!

I know what you mean about having to bundle up because of the AC -- I swear I end up wearing more layers in summer than in winter!

First day of no socks?

I love those little feet.

And I'm with you, I can't stand the blasting of the air conditioning.

We had beautiful weather where I am too - and I am with you on the shivering in my office. It's freezing in here right now.

Nom, nom, nom, those little piggies are just TOO. CUTE.

I totally missed my first cookout this weekend due to that pesky second job I recently took on. BUT! The weather here is supposed to be nice again, and I think if I make some stuffedcakes I can convince my gal pals to have another one.

Meanwhile, as I stare out the window, my first thought is, "Huh. Better start using the lotion with SPF in it now."
