all about me

wisteria III The photo is of a few fronds of the wisteria that grows all along the neighbor's fence, by the back of the carriage house that they use as a art studio. Last year, the carriage house was the color of a wisteria blossom. This year, sadly, they decided to paint it a pretty, but much more conventional, granny smith green. Viewing the matter (as I far too often do) from a purely Niobe-centric vantage point, I'm thinking that they really should have consulted me about my preferences since I'm the one who has to look at it.

And, in other news, I'm going away (all by myself!) for the long weekend and meeting one, two, three, four! of my absolutely favorite bloggers in the whole entire world. I can't wait!

Enjoy your weekend away, you lucky lady!

By the way, in my Canadian Living magazine this month, they have printed a recipe for your Parisian macaroons. Yep...the real ones.

Made me think of you right away.

We're not meeting up are we?

Have a good weekend!

Oh and I feel the same way about the house across the street from up. They painted it Longhorn orange and forest green. Yuck!

They certainly should have consulted you. It's like how when you put up a fence, you're supposed to put the nice part to the outside.

How is that possible? You're coming here?!;-)

Dear Monica H, Painted Maypole, Ruby, and all my other favorite bloggers (and you know who you are):

While fate has decreed that our paths -- for the moment anyway -- shall not cross, I know that, one day (and a happy day it will be) we will all join hands by the campfire and sing kumbaya together.

hugs and kisses,
niobe

Where are you going? Frozen North again? Which is pretty nice right now?

Dying to know!

If you're driving, and doing so by my house, and NOT STOPPING, I'm going to be SO FUCKING PISSED OFF.

Otherwise I'm jealous as hell. hmph.

My neighbor across the street slapped a bunch of test colors up on her house, and one day I found her standing on my front porch. Ultimately she didn't pick exactly what I would have, but it was such an incredible improvement, and I'm so touched she used *my* vantage point to help make her decision.

What an appropriate picture there, as it relates to me and your last paragraph. Cause, you know, I am the color of the leaves now thinking of all the fun you get to have, and with THOSE bloggers, too...
