Everything and I do mean everything is unaccountably getting on my nerves today.
If I actually posted anything, I'm sure I'd immediately regret it. So, while I try to achieve the Indifference of Niobe, feel free to send along suggestions for nudging my mood into the zen zone.

Planes, high up in the sky, silent, shining planes. Like swans.
And, on another note, when everything is wrong for me, manual things help a lot, especially cooking or even better, baking new recipes.
I go outside and take a walk or go for a bike ride or work in the garden. Being outside almost always makes me feel better and doing something physical helps, too.
Unless the weather is crappy or your neighborhood has been taken over by mosquitoes, in which case my suggestions may make you want to curse me. So perhaps I'll second the baking suggestion. But if you decide to make oh, say brownies, you might want to stop before eating too many, thereby losing the Zen-like effect baking can have.
Have a glass of wine when you get home. My Monday was like that and the wine cheered me up perfectly.

I'm trying, people, I really am trying.
On the plus side, I did bring back a bottle of locally grown wine from Nova Scotia.
I remember the first time I had enough alcohol yo feel the effects. It was a Friday evening, after school, at the end of a semester. Someone offered me a vodka. Straight. Suddenly, the light became warm, the people innocent, and everyone was my friend. Sadly, nowadays i can't forge on alcohol anymore. A flute of champagne for the new year, a glass of rosé that week of the summer when the boys are away. Not this year.
There's this word my grannie used to splash in my face: you can lose only what you never had. At the time it annoyed me a lot, now I accept it, and I discipline myself to wish only affordable things. Sometimes it works.

I hate weeks like that. It would probably piss me off that the gray book was messin' with the green thing going on there, and I'd take it out and fling it across the room.
And then have a glass of wine and a bath. Baths are nice.
I don't know why (but I blame my father's mean sense of humor), but when I read that everything is getting on your nerves, I want to reach through the internet and poke you in the ribs.
I think it is supposed to be funny, but I know it isn't.
A walk . . . a walk does wonders for me. So does some dark chocolate or a good dessert. A blended mocha can help too. Or a bike ride or a well done movie or series like Firefly.
When that happens to me, it usually means I'm feeling sick like I have a headache, and don't realize it, or that I have forgotten some vitamins or medication.
Or I'm hungry...or sleep-deprived. Sooo, do a quick check, and if it's none of those, get a big stick and go break something in your backyard.
Just pound the shit out of something.
Wine. Then chocolate. Then more of whichever you prefer.
A nice, long walk.
And then more wine.
HMMM- I sometimes have days like these, though it is usually my husband who annoys me, rather than me annoying myself. Or my students- they annoy me often. I wish I had an answer for you. Have some of that wine! I also like the suggestion of chocolate. Sometimes a nice cup of hot chocolate works wonders. Maybe a bath and good book. Or some mindless television. Those things usually work for me. If not, I just go to bed and hope that tomorrow is a better day! Of course, seeing as how you originally posted at 9 AM, all of these options were probably not going to work for you. But hey, I tried :)

i have nothing for you. get it? zen zone. nothing...ah, nevermind. i'd go with the wine, or bourbon, but that's just me.
Hmm, different things work at different times. A range of possible options: clean stuff, go for a walk listening to favourite / cheery music, practice mindfulness, go out with a friend, have a big whinge to someone - or write down all the things that are irritating me, nap, plan something nice for someone else, look over favourite photos and think about when they were taken...
Hopefully you'll hit upon whatever will work for you this time sooner rather than later.
PS I'm so amazed that you were in my home province. I've had awful homesickness lately, so seeing even just the one photo was lovely.
Hmm, different things work at different times. A range of possible options: clean stuff, go for a walk listening to favourite / cheery music, practice mindfulness, go out with a friend, have a big whinge to someone - or write down all the things that are irritating me, nap, plan something nice for someone else, look over favourite photos and think about when they were taken...
Hopefully you'll hit upon whatever will work for you this time sooner rather than later.

drink plenty of water, go to bed early, sleep in, eat for nourishment and cry if you need to.
A walk by the river or sea -- I find water soothing. And then a coffee or chocolate or both. Or a fruit smoothie if you think it could be the vitamins.
