oh dang. i thought the snakes came on the shoes, and even though i'm pretty phobic vis-a-vis our serpentine buddies, i think shoes with jewels and snakes are TEH HOTNESS. like the footwear version of that fairy tale where the nice girl gets magicked in such a way that jewels pour out of her mouth when she speaks and the mean girls get snakes and toads when they talk. like the nice girl and the mean girls got together and were like, "screw you, weird story with unfeminist implications about our value as marriageable objects. we are going to be best friends and KICK ASS."

If I had wonderfully tiny feet like yours, I'd shop exclusively in the girls department. Somehow I don't see you as the pink glitter type, but I still think it's neat that you and Ruby could have matching shoes someday.
