sweet as chocolate, light as air

Because I'm all generous and selfless and, most importantly, have finally managed to get my hands on the semi-new product that everyone seems to be talking about, I'm giving away (wait for it) Le Whif.

What is Le Whif?  Well, the short version is that it's chocolate.  That you snort.

Learn all the tasty, tasty details at lewhif.com.  But, basically, it was invented by some biomedical engineer at Harvard and is supposed to give you a calorie-free choco-high that's legal in all 50 states (and likely numerous foreign countries as well).  Plus there's a coffee version.  And, yes, I'm giving away one of those too.

How does this giveaway work?  Just follow (in order) the simple steps below:
  1. Leave a comment to this post expressing your interest. It might read: Chocolate. Or perhaps Coffee. Or even: I just can't decide, so you choose for me, sweet, sweet Niobe.
  2. Get chosen by the random number generator.
  3. Receive Le Whif.
  4. Inhale.

***comments closed ... stay tuned for winners***

Full disclosure: While I wish that Le Whif were subsidizing this post in some way, such is very much not the case.

  1. Who comes up with these things that I suddenly have to have? Mint chocolate sounds perfect. Mmm.

  2. I don't even understand this, but it's got the word "Chocolate" in it, so I say - Chocolate, please, sweet, sweet Niobe.

  8. @Katy: this somehow seems so deviant!

You say that like it's a bad thing.

  9. Dearest Niobe,

Chocolate, I think. (I find the idea of snorting chocolate rather odd, yet intriguing. Things that make you go hmmmm... or perhaps, in this case, mmmmmm...)

  10. Just got a 504 trying to comment so I'll try again.

I have NEVER heard of this, and am off to Google as soon as I post my comment.

Needless to say I'd try it if the random number generator favored me :)

  11. I usually do not enter giveaways, but I am totally in love with the idea of inhaling coffee. And believe when I say that I will line it up, after the children goto bed, like I am in Good Fellas...and say to me husband, "What am I? A clown?"

    ReplyDelete
  12. chocolate up the nose? never heard of it. but willing to try. :)

    ReplyDelete
  13. Angie - I think you should win solely based on that comment.

Niobe - I'm not sure customs would feel about me receiving a snortable package so count me out of the number randomness!

  14. Please chocolate, sweet Niobe. I am so sad.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I'm intrigued. So count me in, sweet sweet Niobe. Caffeine, please. Even though the chocolate would maybe sound less suspicious (customs-wise) I'd love to try out the coffee. I just hope for my luck.

(And if I win the giveaway- and get arrested for "importing snortable beverage" - at least I'll have a good story for the blog, he, he)

  16. This is truly bizarre yet strangely appealing. I just can't decide, so you choose for me, sweet, sweet Niobe.

  17. OMG. This is one of those things you imagine, but can never believe would ever be real. Coffee? Chocolate? I'm in heaven either way.

  18. I would need to keep chocolate Le Whif on my door to frighten the Jehovah's away....what a wonderful name...

    ReplyDelete
  19. I must check this out! I love both chocolate and coffee...so you decide sweet, sweet Niobe!!

    ReplyDelete
  20. I love that it's described as "whiffable." I must have it. I mean, chocolate please, sweet, sweet Niobe.

  21. I am slightly confused, and more than a bit concerned that if I win, I'll become addicted and end up in rehab in Arizona and then in a half-way house trying to rebuild my life post-Le Whif while my poor husband struggles to raise our boys without their mother.

    But yes. Chocolate please.

  22. oooo! I can't have any sugar at the mo. So this would be lushy lush, anyone know if it's out in the UK?

    ReplyDelete
  23. I'm waiting for the intravenous cappuccino give-away. Just saying.

    ReplyDelete
  24. @Frustrated Fairy: Yup, it's definitely available in the UK. Check out lewhif.com for details.

  25. Well, this has my curiosity piqued...(or peaked?).

Chocolate, sweet sweet chocolate, from sweet, sweet Niobe. :-)

  27. Blech! Chocolate is not just about flavor, it's about texture, mouth feel, the whole experience. When you come in for BlogHer, we can go here. It's 2 blocks from from my office, and sheer decadence!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Dearest, Niobe -

I can't decide if this is brilliant or evil, or both, but I'm pleased that it doesn't involve track marks. I can't decide on flavors, but I'd love some of either.

  29. ooooh i want it! chocolate! or coffee!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Chocolate. Already enough coffee here in Sweden. Wait, can you ship internationally???

    ReplyDelete
  31. @anthropologa: If that's the way the random numbers generate, I'd be more than happy to ship it internationally.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Sounds fabulous. In middle school, my best friend and I used to snort instant hot chocolate. I'm sure Le Whif is an improvement.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Team Chocolate, all the way (sorry, I just saw a commercial for that vampire movie ;)!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Man... I'm verging on gestational diabetes, but I crave chocolate... I've not heard of this product!

This sounds like the answer to a very odd prayer - "Please God, if I can't HAVE the chocolate, can I at least just SMELL the chocolate?", and God said, "YES, let it be so!". SIGH. Sounds like Bliss.

  35. I love how there are three whifs per package. Not whiffs, mind you. I wonder if I try this will I end up talking to Dr. Drew about my Le Whif addiction someday?

I just can decide, so you choose for me, sweet, sweet, Niobe.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I had to google this because it sounded so much like a product parody, ala ThinkGeek's unicorn meat. I would totally try the chocolate.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I'm not that cool to "whif" things, but, wow, Niobe, YOU are so cool...

    ReplyDelete
  38. I want this guy:

Why does snorting chocolate seem appalling to me while chewing a gushing bloody gummy heart does not?

    -Medea

  39. It's like cocaine chocolate. I don't know if I want to sniff it or run screaming.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Chocolate!

And where did you find it? When I first heard about it a few months ago, I tried to find some because I think that the whole idea is FASCINATING. But I couldn't find any in the US, or anywhere that would ship to the US for that matter.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Chocolate over coffee any day, sweet Niobe. :)

    ReplyDelete
  42. @Maggie (and anyone else who's looking to purchase her own personal stash of the stuff):

    --Go to lewhif.com

--click on the Buy Here! button on the top right of the screen.

-- A new screen will come up with a Find Stores option in pink in the lower left hand corner. Click on the relevant area (North America/ UK/ France/ Rest of the World) and you'll see the stores near you that stock LeWhif. (and I'm sure most of them would be happy to ship it to you as well)

    ReplyDelete
  43. chocolate. Not sure I've ever commented before...but. chocolate.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Ahem.... javajavajavajavajava...

    That is to say, coffee.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I'm choosing the coffee snuff! Wait , I don't even know if aliens can enter. If I win and you can't send it out of the country, can I donate it to an American friend? lol.

    ReplyDelete
  46. sweet darling Niobe - you pick :-)

    Shannon

  47. While I still don't quite understand it, I love the concept. The coffee would be lovely when I'm trying not to drink it (and be up all night) but want a hit of something coffee'ish.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Clearly I'm a very boring sort of weirdo - I can't imagine joyously *wanting* to sniff ANYthing up my nose!! I'm amazed so many others are excited about the prospect. And I hope it works out wonderfully for each and everyone of you who tries it, but ... though I love both coffee and chocolate, and love them even more together... just, NO. EWWW! Imagine how nasty your next nose-blowing experience is going to look after a few "LeWhifs" to innocent passers-by as you blow all kinds of sticky brown nastiness into a nice clean white tissue.

    Sorry for that visual.

Really looking forward to hearing how this actually works for people.

Maybe now they'll come out with facial tissues in rich, dark colors?

Of course, the powder could be white or sparkly fairy dust... I'm just assuming brown for some reason.

Sparkly nose chocolate would kind of kick ass! I mean, maybe then those sneezes would be a like a blessing to those who were previously going to be shocked and disgusted - suddenly fairy dust is flying through the air! Just duck if it's looking thick.

Sorry again! Been out in the sun way too long today.

  49. scares me. i think chocolate is to be eaten and coffee is to be drunk. the mere idea of sniffing anything other than air gives me the heebie jeebies. (and yes, i've never done cocaine.)

    ReplyDelete
  50. @Sarah: So, I guess you're saying that you'd prefer coffee? ; )

I think, though it may not make any difference, that you inhale LeWhif through your mouth, *not* your nose.

So, not like coke. More like huffing helium from balloons. Or nitrous oxide from a whipped cream container.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Nitrous? I'd like that please. Or coffee if that's all you have on hand.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Chocolate, sweet, sweet, sweet Niobe.

    Thanks,
    Mel

  53. Or coffee. Either chocolate or coffee makes me happy. I'll let the random number selector decide.

    ReplyDelete
  54. I love coffee but I didn't like chocolates.

    ReplyDelete
  55. I'd love either one, though if I got the chocolate there would likely be a wrestling match in my house over it (as dh is a bit obsessed with chocolate). Would make for an interesting blog post to say the least... ;)
