second thoughts
Have you ever put up a post on your blog and then, on rereading it, been unable to figure out exactly why you ever thought it would be a good idea to post that, and considered taking it down, but realized that that would probably just draw more attention to it, since your readers would wonder why you had deleted that particular post, and they'd probably be able to read it anyway, since it's pretty much impossible to totally remove anything from the internets and then started to cast around frantically for something else to post, basically anything at all to get that ill-considered post moved down a slot, so it's not perched at the very top of your blog laughing at you?
Just wondering.

sigh.
every other day.
at least.
but i don't see any on your blog that are laughing at you.
honest.
Ditto.
thritto.
which i know isn't a word, but should be.
Totally, totally. But I'm silly and assume that if it hasn't made it to bloglines yet, I'm safe, because no one will have read it. It makes me feel good, anyway.
I've TOTALLY considered doing this. But you know what they say about your friends: they love you anyway... Don't give it no never-mind.

Yeah. All. The. Time.
Once I hit post, I tend to not go back and read. If I did, I would be contemplating the exact same thing!
Sure. I am pretty darn sure some people must think, "wow... you are really, really boring."
But, I never, ever think that about you!
Mostly one that I wrote before anyone but my mother and Phantom were reading my blog, and I wrote it because I didn't want to confront the people in question--then realized they might google it accidentally--then realized that it would still be cached even if I took it down--so it's still up.
I didn't have any stats tools on my site for a long time after posting it, so I don't know if they did find it or not. I console myself that the post hardly ever gets hits.
It's my blog, and I'll delete what I want to.
I regret most things I've written, probably more to do with thinking it should have been better written, not the subject matter. I just don't go back and read it!
All the time!
Never happens to me Niobe and I don't lie either :) Whoa...delete that last comment!
It even funnier (is that a word?) when you think you have posted a comment only to discover you didn't put in the right combination of letters for the word verification!
I am new to blogging, so as I reread my posts, I am always critiquing them. They are always too long, too boring, and my new thing is I think I sound crazy. (there might be something to that one)
Just delete it. Nobody cares anyway..
If you put in "no cache" code on your blog, and then just edit the post to say something else but leave the title alone, it will be gone forever, and people reading you on bloglines will see an updated one, not the previous one.
That said, I view my blog as an evolving thing, that shows my progress as a person, and therefore I think I should keep it up, unless it might hurt someone else.
