I heard last night that the company put an apology on their website and said they would "train" their employees better.

Mhm.

This was too funny, I actually laughed out loud (which is rare)!

So, do you read lots of economist's blogs?

Oh, c'mon I'm sure we all know plenty of folks who would eat it. I remember being horrified one evening watching some paternal inlaws eating ham with cheese.

I heard about this on NPR and almost spit my coffee out all over the dashboard.

What's so amazing to me is how this has just made it's way around the internet! I've seen it all over! I guess I'm glad that people "get it."

I remember in, it must have been 1999, when a place callled Zaftig's in Brookline won "best Jewish deli" in the Best of Boston. It's best sandwich according to the report? A BLT on challah.

But yeah, it's all craziness.

I'm sending this to my decidely non-Kosher, but very very Jewish friend. He loves ham, but would find this hysterical!

That is the funniest thing I have seen in a long time.

my sister called me from a restaurant where her muslim waiter was telling her all about this - and he was laughing so hard - she and her date were out eating latkes at a deli, but without a side of bacon.

Happy Hanukkah!
