l'art pour l'art
Okay. This is seriously fun. Thanks to this addictive program* from the National Gallery of Art, you can create your very own personal seventeenth century Dutch still life, playing with forms, perspective, shadow, and color, choosing elements copied from real paintings. Entertain yourself by listening to the sound of shattering pottery when you toss a virtual vase on the floor. When you've finished arranging the flowers, fruits, and other objects to your satisfaction, try the effects brush for a burnished, more abstract look. Then take a screenshot of your masterpiece and share it with the world.
The program requires shockwave and takes a while to load. Be patient. It's well worth the wait.

because I needed a new hobby! thanks!
that is supremely cool. and very timely, because my older son is home sick, and he's going to LOVE fooling around with it.
Very, very cool....
This is a fabulous timewaster that still feels like it exercises my creative muse and is therefore, I don't even feel guilty about it!
Oooo very good for my kids to fool with!
I can't wait to try this at home. I even have a half spent jar of tulips to shoot.
oh, but you're getting so good at it! don't stop yet!
