fairly persuasive evidence that there is such thing as a stupid question or how someone found this blog

"i was born on tuesday - does that mean that i am wednesday's child?"*

Does anyone have any idea what this googler was (and I use the term loosely) thinking?

*Quotation marks in original.

edited to add: Perhaps I was too hasty. There are a few almost-plausible explanations in the comments.

Perhaps he is one of the Addams. Instead of inheriting his mother's characteristic dark intelligence and flat wit, he was instead given her brother Pugsley's dimwittedness. The poor tyke must be confused. He must not know that he is still Wednesday's child even though he was born on Tuesday.

Umm, that only works in centuries, sunshine. . .

I'm so glad that I was born on a Thursday.

Well... and this is a huge, huge stretch. Maybe the individual in question is wondering about conception date? Only works for someone born exactly on the due date, methinks. Otherwise, I've got nothing.

Perhaps this googler was confused by a certain celebrity that had a baby on Monday and called her Sunday?

Julia: That is absolutely brilliant! It's probably not what the person was thinking, but it does make a certain amount of sense.

Kymberli: You've reminded me that several of my earliest baby pictures show me with a Wednesday Addams doll that was bigger than I was. Because I was born on a Wednesday and someone had the misguided idea that this would be cute. (though I did love that doll).

Or they were trying to understand the date line? Or a contest for making up weird questions for google?

I'm giggling @ Christina's comment.... mostly because I'm right there with her!

Ummmm.....born on the International Date Line?

As an aside, I was born on a Wednesday. I found out when I was 7 or 8 that I was "full of woe."

It took years to break free of that. Why would a nursery rhyme say such a thing?

Maybe I've spent too much time this week with 'parent' and 'sibling' and 'child' nodes on an organizational computer file thing. At the end of a few hours of that I could see the line as a bad or perhaps just odd pun/joke around the idea that Wednesday is to Tuesday as child is to mother rather than equals as it is in my head. Umm.. can you tell I've spent most of my life deducing what kids with autism mean when they speak - I can completely imagine several kids who might say this and be shocked that I didn't immediately get the 'funny' bit of their joke.

When I use quotes in a search engine, I'm looking for the exact phrase. If it doesn't exist in that exact form, I get no hits. So, did you write this sentence somewhere already? You have now. Maybe the seeker was from the future. In fact, maybe it was me, because I just did that search and this post was the only result I got. I'm going to click on it now, so that you will write it, etc.

Hhhmm, maybe you were too hasty, but maybe not. Who knows!! For what it's worth, my "best" guess:

If you were born on a Tuesday, you'd be a baby on Tuesday, so maybe the Googler was wondering if you'd be a child, then, on Wednesday.

That's all I got. Oh, plus I really was born on a Wednesday.

I would guess that perhaps it's a movie line, line in a poem, or even a song lyric. Maybe the googler was trying to find the name of the movie or the artist of a song?

At least that's my impressions given the use of quotations.
