Melissia & K@lakly: Well, my mom certainly isn't observant. And she can be quite funny. But I think the blame for this one falls squarely on the bakery.
I was going to offer to take it off your hands but Bon got in there first. ;)
Thanks for your note on my blog the other day. It was most helpful to know that the whole preschooler battle happened to you too, since I know how close you and Gray are now. It made me feel a lot better. To the point where I almost don't need a non-kosher passover cake.
LOVE it!! and THAT is why i don't keep passover. i couldn't give up cakes and pizza and whatever else is strictly forbidden. i'm a lousy jew, what can i say. but this was so great!!

Bwahahaha
That is OUTSTANDING.
That's hilarious!
Grr. And now you have to make dessert too!
Sheesh!
Perfect!
Oh, the irony.
Too bad, too -- that cake sounds really good.
Who's the shiksa that gave you that?

How fracking ridiculous is that? LOL
Ally: Actually, it was from my mom.
OY!

That is histerical then. And also fitting from what I understand.

I guess this would be meant for a Jew in name only? LOL
She's got a wicked sense of humor....hmmm, like someone else I read...
Either your mom isn't observant or she has a wicked sense of humor, which one is it? Or did she just not read the card?

you can send it to my house. :)
niobe, I needed that laugh. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
ha ha ha, that is hilarious!
ho ho ! Bit like the Passover ham that was around last year!
wow. Good thing you read the fine-print...
Sorry, Bon. All my co-workers left were a few crumbs.
And a good thing? I dunno, Amelie. As Leanne said, the cake looked pretty tasty.
WHAT??? That is too good to be true! (If by "good" I mean "bad")
Oh that made my day!
Somehow that is classic to me.. as in the 'only in america' category of classic where shops put out hams for Jewish holidays and cakes like this!!!
Thanks for the chuckle!
Too funny....and kinda sad and scary. LOL
In Europe that would just NOT be allowed at all. So misleading, I smell a lawsuit let alone coconut...
HA! Niobe - I don't know anyone else like you...able to elicit such hearty laughter in so few words.
Does blogeristics mimic real life??
what?? That is totally ridiculous!
Oops.
Shades of last year's ham?
Goyim (dramatic eye roll).
Hilarious! Eat it anyway :-)
Now, it could be the time of night, of course, but it took me a bit to find the offending ingredient. And then it was a "DOH!" moment.
wow. and I'm guessing the makers were not meaning to be ironic
