bottle III
The other day, I was checking the stats for my Flickr photo account and was ridiculously pleased to see that the above photo of Cole (taken back in June when he was just beginning to hold his own bottle) is featured on some obscure Portuguese language* parenting site.

And, kind of speaking of which, it occurs to me that tomorrow is the first Friday of the month and we haven't done one of those tell-all confession posts for a while. Therefore, I'm soliciting any and all ideas about what this month's confession theme (if any) should be.

Please, help me out. Leave a comment letting me know what genre of confession you'd most like to read and/or share and start thinking about what as-of-yet-unrevealed secrets you're going to reveal.

*Courtesy of Babel Fish, here's a translation into (more or less) English, which at least gives you the general idea of what they're talking about (hint: milk for suckles and of transistion)

OMG I love that translated site. More or less English is right. I am ridiculously proud of my scar of the cesariana now. It sounds so much more elegant.

I did not like the leave something that maybe isn't true in the tru confessionz, as I enjoy reading through them and thinking there are people with these secrets. I have been fascinated by how each one has seemed to pick up its own theme, as comments build on each other. I say jump on the big ones this time around - sex or money. (religion or politics would get too boring too quickly)

i bet you're getting tons of reimbursement for the use of that photo, too.

@painted maypole: Which is absolutely my own fault for giving it a creative commons (a/k/a copy my stuff for free) license. But the, y'know, FAME, is more than compensation enough.

I think it is less English, not more.

It's an adorable pic though.

i say just keep them true and anything anyone wants to leave or get off their chest is good.

The 'Standards of sleep of the just-been born one' totally cracks me up - over and over!

I once had a Chinese exchange student write an entire paper in Chinese and then translate it through an online translator. It didn't work out very well for him.

Nonetheless, Cole is beautiful. I love the little white spot on the end of his finger where he's pressing it hard against the bottle.

'which Box' is onto something suggesting Sex or money. I 2nd that and also add Family or 'bad mummy' confessions. The family secrets and skeletons in the closet are often just too funny. and bad mummy says it all.

I was thinking maybe the theme could be things you do when nobody's looking?
I wonder if we could stay away from the "I'm a bad mom" confessions because some of us are babyloss mommas with no living children. I could just skip a month, too, if that's' the case :)
Love it! and Love the picture, too! Hilarious!

don't hate me for being a goody two shoes but PLEASE don't do the confession thing. It makes me so sad. i know the reality is that i should just not read the comments, but it is like a terrible train wreck that you can't turn away from even though your tears are blurring your vision.

@anon: I realize that the confessions are definitely not everyone's cup of tea. Which is why I only do them on a very limited basis and give people plenty of warning, so they can just avoid the blog totally that day. But I understand. Really, I do.

Beautiful photo of your son. I love taking pics, but have nowhere near your talent. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for using a creative commons license. I rely on CC photos in my job (haven't used any of yours yet, but, I just might :). But I work for an educational institutional, not for profit. Does your CC license allow for-profit use? If not, the
portuguese site is probably breaking the rules. Of course, you may not care.
