funnel vision

beer bong
Look, I make every effort to do the hands off, detachment parenting thing. But even I have my limits.

So when I ask what Gray what he's doing in Spain and he responds by emailing me the above picture, I feel like it may be time to have a serious talk with him.

Because, honestly, the composition and framing are atrocious.

Not to mention this looks like packaging for one you would BUY? He does know how to make these things with left over kitchen/car equipment, right?!

Shouldn't he be drinking Sangria? *shakes head*

totally agree with areyoukiddingme.
beer in spain seems like a waste. wine or sangria, please.

Well, much like how I can tolerate non-ryhming poetry (unlike my hubby), I rather like an off-center composition now and then. Truly, this is very 'dada-esque'.

As for the content, I never did prefer a bong (in college of course), as it always seemed such a vulgar way to drunkeness. My way was immensely more sophisticated: 6 Zimas followed by bouts of giddiness, follwed by bouts of crying, followed by pizza, followed by vomit.

Hope he's having fun.

Oh, you had me!

And you know, it can't all be cava, can it? Something's got to wash down the blood sausage (if he's in Madrid, that is).

When my son spent a summer in Madrid, I gave him my AMEX card in case of emergency. Well, apparently, 98% of his emergencies occurred in pubs, bistros, bars, restaurants, and the like. But at least he had a summer to remember (as did I, when the bills started rolling in).

You should totally be concerned. For exactly the reasons you mention.

@calliope: Yeah, I thought about giving him credit for that. But then I thought that the credit probably goes mostly to autofocus.

I truly believe that we have reached the point where technology has become one with our world, and I can say with 99% certainty that we have passed the point of no return in our relationship with technology.

I don't mean this in a bad way, of course! Societal concerns aside... I just hope that as memory gets less expensive, the possibility of transferring our brains onto a digital medium becomes a true reality. It's a fantasy that I daydream about almost every day.
