misfortune cookie

misfortune cookie
I'm not even the tiniest bit superstitious.

But this (colors reversed for bonus ominous effect) can't be a good sign.

And here I was thinking that I was the only one who ever got bad fortunes from cookies...at least I know I'm not alone!

Ominous effect appreciated!

I had one last week that said "An unexpected event will make your life more exciting." I wanted to burn it, and then I wondered if it were just a year too late.

That one actually wouldn't be so bad in the hands of Chance and Apollo.

I don't believe in fortune cookies. I hope you don't either.

Depends on your perception of luck.

I adhere strongly to the belief that one must append the phrase "in bed" to the message to truly understand it.

Ooo-la-la!

Given that they turn those out in mass quantiy these days I am loathe to apply any real meaning to them. Unless, of course, it is 'in bed', as previously mentioned:)

it kind of looks like you scorched it.

yikes. however, whichever way it turns it is likely to turn back again.
luck is a fickle bitch like that.

What if it meant your bad luck was about to change (into good)? Though that's the annoying, ever-present optimist in me.

Yeah, you did just get your car broken in too, right? So maybe this means that your car repair will go well and your new phone will rock?

Damn, I'd hide under the bed for a few. MIght as well have written: "Other Shoe to Drop, Soon!"

I got the fortune "You will have many friends" so many times, I quit going to that restaurant. That cookie didn't know me! I didn't want 'many friends' but it was so insistent.

Thanks for the post before this one. I really enjoyed reading it. Alice

think of it this way. fortune cookies have a long life cycle. this one was probably packaged back in say, early 2007, destined for you. it's just a little late?

Bon said it before I could. Just late delivery!
